What is on the Impresol map of Mallorca?

The island with its road network on the front, the Palma city map on the back. Plus three directories: fifteen city landmarks with their addresses, nine map symbols, and a box with seven kinds of line. All three are set out as text on this page.

How big is the printed map?

684 by 420 millimetres unfolded, printed on both sides: the island on the front, Palma on the back. The PDF here holds both sides at print resolution.

What languages is the map in?

Spanish, English and German, mostly all three side by side. Not everywhere: the Museo de Mallorca and Taxi · Taxistand carry two versions, Radar one, and four entries carry four.

Where do I get the map?

Handed out free to holidaymakers: airport, car-rental desk, hotel. If you do not have one at hand, you can browse it above or download the PDF.

Can I print the map as a PDF?

Yes. The PDF holds both sides at print resolution, around 7 MB. Printed on A4 the island comes out small, but for a single section it works well.

Is the map available from other car-rental firms?

Yes, Impresol prints island maps in eight editions: Centauro, Europcar, FEHM, Goby Car, Goldcar, Hertz, Sixt and Vanrell. What is on this page comes from the Europcar edition; the others look different.

Which landmarks are on the map?

Fifteen, lettered A to O: the cathedral, the Almudaina palace, Can Balaguer, Bellver castle, the Museo de Mallorca, the Arab baths, La Llotja, the Fundación Juan March, Es Baluard, the Fundació Miró, Casal Solleric, La Caixa at the Gran Hotel, the Diocese museum, the Mallorca Pearl Museum and the Teatre Principal.

Does it include a city map of Palma?

Yes, it takes up the middle of the back, framed by advertisements and the cultural guide. The fifteen landmarks are marked there with their letter, along with tourist information, bus stops, car parks, petrol stations, taxi ranks, the train station and the police.

What does the ORA zone on the city map mean?

The map lists it as a parking zone and marks it out separately on the city map. It says no more than that.

What is an ACIRE zone?

Access for residents only. The map carries it as its own symbol and marks these zones out on the city map.

Which road types does the map distinguish?

The box has seven lines, and not all of them are roads: motorway, freeway, main road, minor road and other roads and tracks, plus railway lines and speed cameras. Each line has its own signature.
